Metrocon Tampa Bay 2026 is Almost Here!

The big event is back for 2026 at the Tampa Convention Center on Friday, July 31st till Sunday August 2nd. There are many things to do for everyone ranging from arcades to cosplay. Starting with the games, they have quite a few to experience while you wait for a panel to attend. The Metrocade Console and Arcade return again this year and are provided by Save Point. This 10,000 square foot area includes many top arcade, console, PC/Lan games, along with official tournament contests that you can join. Next there is the role-playing tabletop gaming room presented by Old Tavern Games bringing you the opportunity to play some fun games with other Metrocon adventurers. Lastly, there is a chance for those who dare to perform live action role-playing (LARP). Mythic Adventures returns with their popular experience for convention goers to try their talents in the Dungeon Crawl. They put together an outstanding full-scale dungeon with a nice back story that is worth exploring a few times. Here you can pretend to be a knight, mage, rogue, bard, or any of the professions from that time period.

There are many other fun things to do while you are here, with the three days of panels, workshops, shows, music, dance, and many other events scheduled, along with the chance to meet this year's anime talent panels and autograph session opportunities. For the Cosplay experience the panels are the best to enjoy this area of fun. They include character meetups, discussions, in-depth classroom work, quests, and contests. The workshops give you the chance to learn how to make your needed props, costumes, or character foods. Finally, if you are looking for unique artistic items, gaming supplies, costume items, or popular side events, the vendor room is worth visiting. Metrocon brings forward many events to attend relating to music, dancing, live performances, and demonstrations that will definitely grab your attention.
