When coming to see a Statham motion picture there is one thing that has to be present, and that is plenty of combative moments. The other area that is needed is that the tale theme requires vengeance and this quest has all that. With all that said, Mutiny has what it takes to be part of the legacy.

After many years in the military and in the police force, Cole Reed (Jason Statham) finds a home with billionaire industrialist Tibu Campallo (Ramon Tikaram) as his personal bodyguard after he saved Tibu's life five years ago. Now considered family and privileged with any information dealing with security, Cole has to keep his boss safe after learning that they are selling their shipping fleet to a foreign investor, Jaran Daniles (Simon Kluth). With Tibu's son, Kameron Campallo (Chaneil Kular) not wanting to consider running the business, his father makes the crucial decision of letting the company go.

While in transport Cole Reed finds himself now on the run after his friend and boss is assassinated during an ambush. Being framed, Cole must find a way to clear his name, keep Kameron safe, and figure out who would do this. With evidence from the scene of the murder, he begins to figure out that everything centers around one of the ships owned by his organization. Locating the suspected vessel, he now boards it to discover the real reason why his employer was eliminated.

Putting together a great action pact journey with excellent fight scenes, director Jean-François Richet makes sure this is presented well. He gives you what was intended along with a well written storyline that continues to honor what the Statham films are meant to bring to his audience. The performance from Jason and the rest of the crew kept the narrative believable and gives his fans what they want.

An enjoyable and entertaining Jason movie that includes all the needed pieces to have success, is worth seeing either at your theater or later on a streaming service. A fun adventure that gives the viewer what they expect.

Final Comment: I based my grade on the familiar script theme and the outstanding battle segments.
