A new voice is cutting through the noise in the alt-rock scene, and she’s arriving with a purpose. Saphir Levi, a dynamic and genre-blurring talent, has officially marked her arrival with the release of her debut single, “Forget It,” alongside the announcement of her signing to NOWHERE Recordings, in partnership with Pale Chord / Rise Records BMG.
The release is a bold first chapter in what promises to be a compelling artistic journey. Produced by NOWHERE2RUN, the powerhouse production duo of Jami Morgan and Eric Balderose (both members of the Grammy-nominated band Code Orange), “Forget It” isn’t just a song; it’s an experience. A blend of fuzzy guitars, dreamy atmospheres, and razor-sharp hooks, the track draws deep from the well of ‘90s alternative rock, springing comparisons to Mazzy Star, Liz Phair, and PJ Harvey. But, it never feels derivative; Instead, Saphir filters those influences through a distinctly modern lens, adding her twist with evocative lyricism and a commanding vocal presence.
You can feel the influences: Mazzy Star haze, Liz Phair defiance, and that raw PJ Harvey grit, but there’s something very now about Saphir’s delivery and songwriting. “Forget It” doesn't just nod to the past, it flips it into something fresh and modern.

“Forget It” lives up to its title in all the right ways, and it’s hard to forget. The track pulses with energy, balancing grit and grace, seduction and self-possession. Saphir’s voice floats effortlessly between ethereal and defiant, delivering lines that feel as much like a spell as they do a confession.
“This song is about the magic of self-assurance and seduction,” Saphir shares. “It is warm, witchy, romantic, and most importantly, confident. It feels like an appropriate first chapter in this brand new story of my musical journey,” she concluded.

The debut of “Forget It” is just the beginning; a full EP is slated for release in the coming months, promising to further explore the world Saphir is building, one track at a time. If “Forget It” is any indication, listeners can expect a body of work that’s profound yet all-around relatable, darkly romantic yet fiercely independent.
