Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) have been part of our culture for a long time and many of these observations have occurred out west. Some of these disturbances have been false and some have been blamed on government testing areas scattered throughout the Southwest. One day on March 13, 1997, there were seven beacons that formed into an arrow-like formation and were seen by thousands in the skies over Southern Arizona. Later they were known as the Phoenix Lights. This phenomenon had this area of the United States totally in shock and many wondered if these illuminations were actually visitors from another planet.

During this event 10-year-old Claire witnessed this amazing occurrence and has never truly recovered from her confrontation. Now many years later, Claire (Kat Cunning), a photographer, and UFO researcher, is still trying to understand what she experienced that night. As she grew up, she had to endure many pains that became health issues, including epilepsy. Having had a few occurrences recently, her doctor recommended that she take someone with her on her adventures that she takes at night trying to capture those strange glowing objects from her past.

After an episode with drugs where Taylor (McCabe Slye), Claire’s brother, landed in the hospital. He needed help from someone he trusted, and he reached out to his sister. When they were younger, he and sister had fallen on rough times after the separation of their parents and the death of their mother. Being then separated from his sister and family, Taylor began to struggle with substance abuse, addiction, and self-esteem. Now forced to find a new place to live, Taylor tries to convince his sister to stay with her and Claire reluctantly accepts.

With Claire somewhat dating Justin (Connor Paolo), a UFO Podcaster and internet Influencer, things might just become awkward with all three of them together. After some research locating information on a sighting that may reveal that the lights have returned near the Mexican border, Claire along with Taylor and Justin set out to see if this is for real. Here they encounter a landowner near the border who took the photos of the possible UFO detection, Felix (Bradley Fisher), who is also self-proclaimed border protector and his partner and friend Gray (Chris Altice). These two characters are convinced that this situation is caused by drones trying to allow illegal aliens into the country. As things begin to pick up, Claire and her crew meet two more intriguing people, Ricardo (Eddie Martinez) and his daughter Gabby (Adriana Aluna Martinez).

Director and writer Adam Finberg develops a fascinating narrative about this 1997 incident in Arizona that took the attention of many citizens. He brings this escapade in many different directions that finally concludes with a captivating finale. Adam assembled an excellent crew who helped keep the story fresh and intriguing. Having his lead stay on her quest to fully discover what she went through, back when she was younger, aided the eventual conclusion to help establish the unexpected outcome.

This enjoyable journey to gather a true understanding of what her life underwent, takes control of the main character's life and leads us all on a path of reckoning. An interesting trail of discovery that will definitely be entertaining and will be worth the time you spend devoted to it. Since this film has no rating at the time of my review, I will explain that there is some violence, bad language, drug references, and racial slurs that occur occasionally throughout the film.

Final Comment: I based my grade on a very delightful tale with a wonderful performance.
